They gave the bonus they should (in my opinion) give to them, namely cheaper wood costs for siege, which is a logical extension of their discount bonus, to another civ. One civ in particular I'm disappointed with is Koreans. Especially when you have a very open gold, which you can't defend. On the changes themselves, Spanish seem very interesting, though I don't think they needed changing, I think they were fine as they were. Essentially it made the civ a whole lot easier to play, whilst nerfing it only slightly at the top level(perhaps like 5 second behind in tc working time.
